Reflecting on My Internship Experience at Pinnacle
It’s hard to believe I’ve already been at Pinnacle Marketing Group for 8 months—apparently, time really does fly when you’re having fun! I’m Connor, a marketing student at Bemidji State University, and I joined the Pinnacle team in August 2024 as a marketing intern. Since then, I’ve learned a ton, grown in ways I didn’t see coming, and gained experience that’s shaped how I see my future. I’m excited to share a little about what I’ve picked up along the way—and what’s next!
When I started at Pinnacle, I was eager to dive in and gain hands-on experience in content creation and digital strategy. Over the past few months, I’ve had the chance to work on a variety of exciting projects, including creating and analyzing audio ads, planning and producing social media content, and contributing to some fun, cross-department initiatives.
One of my favorite parts of this internship has been seeing how ideas evolve—from initial brainstorming to final execution. Whether I was writing a blog post, assisting with social content, or helping brainstorm campaign ideas, I always felt like my voice mattered. The team’s openness to feedback and willingness to share their knowledge created a supportive environment that made me feel excited to learn—not intimidated.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at Pinnacle Marketing Group for welcoming me and making this experience so valuable. A special thank you to Autumn Ricke and Kyle Waterman for their guidance, encouragement, and patience as I learned the ropes.
This May, I’ll be graduating with my degree in Marketing Communication and continuing my education journey by pursuing my MBA. I’m also excited to share that I’ll be staying on board at Pinnacle as a Marketing Assistant, where I look forward to continuing to support our team and clients in meaningful ways.
As I head into this next chapter, I’ll be carrying everything I’ve learned during my internship with me. This experience has solidified my passion for marketing and given me a clearer vision of where I want to go. Most importantly, it’s helped me grow in confidence—both as a student and as a future professional.

This internship continues to give me the opportunity to build real-world skills, grow both personally and professionally, and collaborate with a team that truly values creativity, teamwork, and fresh ideas. I'm grateful to be part of it and even more excited for what’s to come.
